(CNN) - America has been fooled by independent presidential candidate "Deez Nuts," who was revealed this week as 15-year-old Brady Olson, a boy from Iowa. Here's what happened when the Internet got word that "Deez Nuts" gained traction in some polls this week.
Rolling Stone reporter Tim Dickinson tweeted at an Iowa man named Mark Olson, asking if he is "Deez Nuts." Mark Olson responded: "No. It's my 15 year old son." It turns out that 15-year-old Brady Olsen filed with the FEC on July 26 as "Deez Nuts" to run for president of the United States. “When I heard about the Limberbutt McCubbins story, I realized I could,” Olson told The Daily Beast, referring to a Louisville cat that was registered as a presidential candidate this year by high school senior Isaac Weiss and his friend Emilee McCubbins. Brady Olson is also on Twitter but has not commented on his presidential run yet. Still, there's a Twitter handle dedicated to getting "Deez Nuts" elected. Some got a kick out of the prank, pledging their support for "Deez Nuts." Others lamented the state of American politics. Some took it upon themselves to design logos for a "Deez Nuts" campaign.

"Deez Nuts" even got a shout-out from "Extra" host and former "Saved By the Bell" star Mario Lopez.
If you don't vote for Deez Nuts are you even American?
