There are boats and then there are vessels that demand you sing Lonely Island’s “I’m On A Boat.” It shouldn’t be hard to figure out which category Mercedes-Benz’s new yacht falls into.
Mercedes recently revealed the Arrow 460 Granturismo Yacht and it looks like something straight out of a Ballers episode. The ship was first shown as a design concept at the 2012 Monaco Yacht Show and now it is real. Made in collaboration with Silver Arrows Marine, the Granturismo has incredibly sleek lines that flow with the water and the silver paint lends to that effect. The yacht almost appears to disappear at times. It looks both futuristic and timeless in the way that the best Mercedes automobiles do.
The ship is 46'6" long and 13'3" wide. It is equipped with twin 440 horsepower engines (you can also upgrade to 480hp). The interior features eucalyptus wood trim and nubuck leather seating and the space can be rearranged easily depending on whether you’re taking the boat out for the day or a multi-day cruise.
This isn’t the automaker’s first time dipping its toes in the water (pun very much intended). Mercedes had previously worked on a Cigarette racing boat modeled after the AMG-GT3 racecar.
Only 10 of the Granturismo yachts will be built and while exact pricing was not announced, one of these is rumored to set you back $1.7 million.
